Control mark: Crowned C / BEAV(CAIRE) / 1763.
Height: 18.5 cm.

Bibliography: "Eaven potters of the Old Languedoc and Roussillon" by René Richard, a great collector and scholar who has brought together in this work all his knowledge of the production of his region.
In Beaucaire, like many centres in the kingdom, the control was not updated each year as provided for in the royal edict of 1691. We only know of 4 control marks from this locality: the one from before 1738 which is not dated, those from 1738, 1758, 1760 and 1763.
Let us recall that these pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime.
