hand painted on the lid with a pastoral and romantic scene figuring a couple, the lady putting a ring of roses around the neck of her lover.
Signed : A.Bost, bottom left
Stamp under the base: "Chateau de Longpré Manufacture Française" in a red crowned mark. France
Colour of the whole « bleu four » (deep blue), embossed gilding, brass gilt mount. Decorated with flowers inside.
