"Miniature Gentleman's Breeches In Lampas - France Louis XVI Period Circa 1780"
Circa 1780 France Beautiful Gentleman's breeches in French faille goose caca brocaded in miniature of blue-Nattier coffee beans, breeches most likely for the Court. High-waisted cut with small buttoned bridge and covered in the same, at the waist of bone buttons. Buttons and tabs embroidered with polychrome silk at the knees. Linings of brown glazed linen buckram and ecru linen canvas in cleanliness (light halos). Rare areas of rubbing and repairs, darning at the crotch, only defects to report. Good condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent to size 14 years. Height 73 cm, waist 80 cm, hips 93 cm.
