"Lithograph Countersigned Maurice Utrillo Montmartre Moulin De La Galette"
Here is a lithograph bearing Utrillo's signature, countersigned on the right. On the left we find the inscription "Original lithograph proof on Montmartre paper, the Moulin de la Galette". Maurice Utrillo (1883-1955) was a tormented personality, painting then became an outlet for his mental disorders. The artist drew his inspiration from places of life, cafés, guinguettes and restaurants. In the 1910s, after beginnings clearly influenced by Impressionism, Maurice Utrillo quickly established himself as the reference artist of the School of Paris, preferring a refined representation of the Parisian streets and especially Montmartre, in which he spent most of his life, to the surrealist and abstractionist effervescence of the moment. We note a trace on a corner at the bottom right, a defect at the top left, slight rubbing, everything is visible in the photos. These defects are not prohibitive. You will also notice a not very happy scotch on the back to hold it on the pass. We sell it without a frame. For the condition, please detail the photos. Do not hesitate to zoom. The photos are an integral part of the description. Dimensions: - Pass Height: 35 cm Width: 28 cm - Lithograph Height: 25 cm Width: 20 cm E: A4572
