Great Medallion, Lava Stone In High Relief, Grand Tour Italy, 19th Century Gilt Wooden Frame

Very pretty little medallion carved in high relief. In lava stone, it represents a cherub musician, playing the harp. It is probably a stone bracelet clasp, nicely framed in a double evolution baguette in Gilt wood, decorated with a deep green velvet, and on the back with a green silk moire and its gilded brass hanging ring.
Excellent condition, without break or any flaw, it just needs its place on your wall!
Working from the Grand Tour, probably Italian, dating from the first part of the 19th century, Circa 1830-1850.
Dimensions: 3cm x 2.5cm. Frame 17cm x 17cm
