"Highly Engraved Victorian Sterling Silver Tea Coffee Service, 1873"
This superb high quality set was hallmarked in London in 1873 by Samuel Smily or Smiley, This is a Victorian, sterling silver tea and coffee service featuring beautifully engraved floral and scrolled decoration on a canister shaped body with large stylised finials and gilt interiors to the cream and sugar bowls. The coffee pot measures (23.5 cms) 9 1/4 inches tall and the tea pot measures (12 cms) 10.5 inches Tall and (27 cms) 19 3/4 inches from handle to spout and this is presented in very good condition throughout. The front is engraved with a coat of arms and the back is engraved with the letter H The overall weight of this set is 72 oz troy. (2225 grams).
