The barrel is initially faceted, then round. The front sight is mounted in a dovetail, so in theory adjustable to the shooter's sight. Five deep, very clear grooves. The caliber is the 12mm Lefaucheux pinfire. Barrel length 15 cm
The entire weapon is in the original white polish, and the frame, trigger guard and cylinder are engraved. It is certain that a superficial polishing could greatly improve the appearance of the surface of the weapon.
The operation is perfect in single and double action, there is no loose. The alignment of the chambers of the cylinder and the barrel (= indexing) is excellent. The grip parts are in checkered walnut, and a ring finishes the cap of the butt.
I did not notice any particular punch, so it is probably a civilian manufacture by a private gunsmith.
It is a beautiful decorative object, which has the advantage of having an irreproachable mechanism, which is rare on this type of weapon, which is more than 150 years old.
