Gien Earthenware, Japanese Décor Coaster Of A Jonque On An Occupied Lake People

Very nice earthenware trivet with beautiful Japanese decoration in reserve of a junk on a lake animated by ripples where an ornamental duck swims.

The small boat is occupied by four handsome male and female figures, the foreground embellished with a colorful leafy branch and the background with mountainous reliefs.
The object is in excellent condition, having been little used and showing virtually no signs of use.
It is marked on the reverse with the three intertwined letters of the famous Gien factory.
* The mark is G-A51 from the reference work on Gien factory signatures for 1875 *.
