Beautiful Empire desk made by the cabinetmaker Jean-Joseph Chapuis (1765-1864).
The legs may require a little restoration. The desk has a white marble top and 2 extensions of 45 cm on the left and right.
Jean-Joseph Chapuis (June 6, 1765 - February 10, 1864) was a Belgian / French cabinetmaker of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The desk is stamped "Chapuis" several times. The desk is in good condition with some small defects and needs to be refreshed.
