Marquetry Support Furniture Ball Decor Brass Bronze Tortoiseshell Napoleon III

Napoleon III sideboard, curved on the front and sides, black marble top, rich Boule style marquetry decoration. The door has a large oval medallion surrounded by a bronze leafy ogee, with in its upper part a canopy motif dressed in lambrequins which tops a decoration of foliage, musical instruments of interlacing in engraved brass on a tortoiseshell background. The side uprights are dressed in bronze scraps with bossage, ribbons and acanthus leaf motifs, on each side a bronze macaroon in the center of which a head of a divinity, bearded man, on a shell and ribbon background. The horizontal volumes are separated by a bronze ogee with leaf motifs. The cabinet opens with a curved door with lock, revealing a mahogany layout with two shelves. The cabinet is in good condition and shows some traces of wear and small cracks Napoleon III period.
