G. Thomas was a Parisian globe maker of the late 19th century; at the beginning of the 20th century it probably entered into a partnership with the Girard & Barrère company, which in fact began producing globes under the name of Girard, Barrère et Thomas. The firm Girard & Barrère had also produced Forest globes in Rue de Buci, the same address used at the time by J. Forest, another famous Paris globe maker.
