Magnificent long fabric, altar front in green silk velvet with an olive tendency entirely decorated with splendid polychrome embroidery on five flowery reserves and friezes of antique palmettes on the border. Each reserve houses a large bouquet of flowers finely embroidered in an antique vase with detached handles on a pedestal. This magnificent old piece dating from the middle of the 19th century is entirely handmade. An incredible work of patience! The work of the embroiderer is similar to that of the painter. The colored threads, some in wool others in silk for the relief effect, by their alternation, perfectly manage to render the volumes in particular that of the bulge of the belly of the vases.
