Thanh Ley Vietnam Antique Chalice Vase On Lacquer Heel With Three Fish Sail Design, Signed

A very fine little vase in the shape of a chalice, resting on a small, slightly truncated cone-shaped heel topped by an ovoid receptacle that gently flares out at the top.
The shape and lines are beautiful and refined; the lacquer offers a delicious palette of shades from caramel to chocolate, and the body is adorned with three veiled fish surrounded by herbaceous plants against an aquatic backdrop.
The signature of the workshop of the famous Vietnamese lacquerer Thanh Ley appears on the back of the heel.
