Maurice Larue, 1861-1935, born in Bordeaux, uncle of Gabriel Domergue.He exibited regulary at the Salon des Artistes Français betwen 1900 and 1930 and also in Bordeaux at the Imberti Galerie.
He is specialized in the representation of undergrowth and marine , especiallythe Arcachon Basin and the Bordeaux region.
His painting is vivid and impressionist.
The Museum of Beaux-Arts of Bordeaux organised a retrospective of his paintings in 1992.
Oil on canvas, signed at the bottom, right and dated 1902.
