A beautiful antique pitcher from the 18th century in tin-glazed earthenware from the South West of France, produced by the famous Brian factory in Sainte-Foy la Grande, in Gironde.
This village is renowned for the quality and beauty of its earthenware, a know-how that has perpetuated its reputation over the centuries.
The jug we are offering you today is, fortunately, almost in its original condition. There is just one tiny chip at the top edge of the neck, which barely touches the earth under the glaze. One could hardly expect better from such an early piece.
