"Neapolitan Bronze "
We present this bronze from the Grand Tour, which represents a 19th century reissue called "Narcissus of Pompeii". These sculptures are called "Neapolitan bronzes" and are of truly exceptional quality, with chiseling and patina certainly identical to the one exhibited at the Naples museum. It is enhanced by a marble terrace of a respectable size. We say "Grand Tour" because the sons of large, wealthy families sometimes left for a year, two years or more, to visit all parts of Europe and in particular Italy. (E24)
