"Statuette With Three Anthropomorphic Figures - Kulango Culture, Ivory Coast And Ghana - Circa 1900"
STATUTE with THREE ANTHROPOMORPHIC FIGURES standing with bent legs, their feet merged into a large trapezoidal base, characteristic of the culture. Their hands, with incised fingers, rest on their knees, which are themselves folded over a bulging belly with a prominent umbilicus.
The stylized faces are punctuated by two small protuberances on the sides, representing ears or short plaits.
