RARE PHARMACY CHEST OF DRAWERS PANELLED IN WALNUT WITH 18 DRAWERS, FROM THE BIEDERMEIER PERIOD (CIRCA 1840).
IT HAS TWO DOORS ON THE EXTERNAL SIDE, WHICH WHEN OPENED SHOW THE 18 DRAWERS WITH THEIR ORIGINAL BRASS RINGS.
A UNIQUE AND RARE PIECE OF FURNITURE FOR THE PERIOD; IT CAN BE USED BY A COLLECTOR TO STORE COINS, JEWELRY, SMALL OBJECTS OR EVEN AS OFFICE FURNITURE.
THE CHEST OF DRAWERS IS PANELLED IN WALNUT FEATHERS, ALL 18 DRAWERS ARE DOVETAIL-SHAPED; OVERALL IT IS INTACT, EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE SOME CRACKS ON BOTH SIDES.
RESTORATION IS TO BE EXPECTED TO BRING IT BACK TO ITS ANCIENT SPLENDOR.
