Superb decorative plate in Limoges porcelain. Very rich decoration in gold inlay polished with agate. Several decoration techniques, palmettes inlay on the edge, then hand-painted margin of golden scrolls on a blue oven background, then very large acanthus frieze inlay followed by a white band with a golden wavelet decoration and finally in the center a large flat granite inlay surrounding a hand-spun decoration of a bird with a branch of blackberries. This is a very rich decoration that is only found on the most beautiful pieces of Limoges. No decorator's signature but porcelain from the Giraud factory. Period around 1960.
