The oratory of St Guirec in Ploumanach, Charcoal, red chalk and chalk drawing by Jean Lebedeff, located, dated 1913 lower left and signed lower right. Dimensions 28x19.5cm at sight and 44x35.5 with the frame Jean Lebedeff was a prolific illustrator and considered one of the most important wood engravers of the 20th century. Settled in Paris after leaving Russia in 1908, he was a student of the Beaux Arts and frequented the artistic circles of Montparnasse. He will deliver engravings for many works.
