Pair of polychrome terracotta figures signed by the Bongiovanni Vaccaro workshop in Rome for the London World's Fair in 1862. These statuettes of remarkable quality of finesse, detail, realism, represent a man and a woman in their daily clothes and tasks.
Good condition, some missing parts at the tips of the man's fingers, missing part of the woman's apron, old re-gluing at the woman's foot (visible in the photos)
