Portrait of a man, large miniature on ivory signed lower right by Juda Löw Pinhas (1727-1793), Large plaque in superb condition in an early 19th century gilded wood frame. Juda Pinhas, painter, miniaturist in the service of the Margrave of Ansbach in 1750 then of the Margrave of Bayreuth from 1753, faithfully attached to the House of Brandeburg-Bayreuth, he accompanied in 1766, Elisabeth of Brandeburg-Bayreuth, Duchess of Württemberg to her uncle Frederick II, King of Prussia in 1766 but declined his offers, remaining attached to the House of Brandeburg-Bayreuth and continued to produce miniatures (Frederick II in 1781) as well as for the great Princely Houses, Thurn & Taxis, Wittelsbach, Orange...
