Monoxyle wooden statuette with a stylised body: its chest has two small protuberances, its waist is marked, its face has two coffee bean eyes, its ears are two small hollows and its hairstyle is incised with stylised braids. Its neck is adorned with a glass bead necklace. Her neck is adorned with a necklace of glass beads.
These dolls, associated with fertility, were given to young girls as part of initiation rituals - ‘Mwana hiti’ actually means child or son of wood.
