Raymond Wintz born March 25, 1884 in Paris and died March 18, 1956 in the same city is a French painter. Raymond Wintz is the son of Charles Wintz (born in 1847) draftsman, and the grandson of the German painter naturalized French Frédéric Guillaume Wintz Raymond Wintz is known for his landscapes of Brittany. He is the husband, in second marriage, of the painter Renée Carpentier (1913-2003). Raymond Wintz studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs. A student of Jules Adler, he began to exhibit his works at the Salon des artistes français from 1910. He received a silver medal in 1922. He was named knight of the Legion of Honor. He is buried in Paris in the Montparnasse cemetery (6th section), alongside his brother-in-law, the architect Zacharie Carpentier (1884-1963), knight of the Legion of Honor.
