"Renaissance Style Box, Napoleon III Period "
Amusing box from the Napoleon III period, but imitating a Renaissance object. On a wooden core covered with embossed leather, harnessed with studded copper reinforcements, and chiseled copper plates, lined inside with a thick red velvet, it shines brightly. It rests on pretty bronze feet which complete the giving of its character. The copper can be made to shine even better, but as it is, it already has its little effect.
