Early 19th Century Watercolor Drawing By Paul-jean-pierre Gélibert, Signed And Dated 1833

Beautiful watercolour drawing by Paul Gélibert 1802-1882), signed lower left Pl. Gélibert.
On the reverse of the frame is a label, a photocopy from the Bénézit which gives a short biography of the artist (see photo).
It states that the artist was born in Laforce on 29 April 1802 and died in Barthe-de-Nesle on 24 September 1882.)
He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1835 to 1880.
In 1843, he was awarded a third-class medal.
The Musée de Bagnères has a work by the artist depicting a wolf's head.

Musée de Saint-Etienne: Study of a bull.
Musée deToulouse: Descent of the herds from the mountain.
There are also some results of old sales prices from 1945.
