A fine canvas is embroidered with woolen threads, metallic threads and seed beads, the face and hands of the Sovereign are painted on paper and glued to the canvas.Vittorio Emanuele II is shown here holding a sheet of paper in his hand, the reference is probably to the Albertine Statute.
Overall, the work is in good condition even if certain parts of the wool embroidery, notably the white ones, have been attacked by moths, the colors are obviously toxic for these insects.
