The sculpture is reminiscent of Italian Mannerism and the superb venus with hair in the wind of certain great masters.
The snake takes an anthropomorphic form.
The scene has been taken up in engraving, drawing, etc...
but here the sculptor has transcribed it in walnut with some naivety while releasing a very particular and powerful work.
