Pair of late 18th century Chippendale chairs in mahogany, Roccoco influence, curved and sculpted front legs ending with claws on a ball. Seat, wide frame assembled with tenon and mortise pegged with applied tapestry. Openwork backrests called splat mounted on a moving crosspiece with shell decoration. Chair in good condition, traces of restoration and grafts on legs. Seat height 47 cm
