" Sèvres Biscuit Filling After Antonio Canova (1757-1822)"
Large neoclassical style set signed on the terrace CANOVA (after Antonio Canova 1757 -1822) 19th century work with a structure in Sèvres porcelain biscuit (?) on blue Turquin marble with gilded bronze ornamentation. The set is composed of a column clock with draped columns supported by allegorical loves and two cassolettes in the shape of Medici vases with rich antique rotating decoration depicting Putti with the accessories of the Bacchic thiase and handles in Faun masks joined by garlands of flowers. White enameled dial with Arabic numeral indexes underlined by garlands of polychrome flowers, the movement works well and strikes the hours and half hours. Very good general condition.
