HELMET OF THE SALLANCHES FIREFIGHTER, Mle 1855/72.
- Helmet entirely in brass. Crest with fins stamped with 11 gadroons. Front plate stamped in relief with the coat of arms of the city of Sallanches (Savoy), on a background of oak leaves and crossed axes, with a ribbon bearing the inscription "GARDE POMPIER DE SALLANCHES". Visor and neck cover encircled with a bent rush astride the outer edge. Chinstraps with movable scales. Very good condition, missing the interior, visible in the photos.
