SCULPTURE-MARQUETRY-ART OF ALSACE CARVED PAINTING WOOD MARQUETRY DAMBACH LA VILLE (67) LUCIEN ESSLINGER 20TH CENTURY FRANCE MULHOUSE Lucien Esslinger practiced his art by representing his region, Alsace. He lived in the Bas-Rhin, in Mulhouse. A passionate craftsman, he sold his works well beyond France, in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland and the United States. One of his works also adorned Jacques Chirac's office. Here is a stylized representation of Dambach la ville in the Bas-Rhin (67). Solid oak frame. Signed lower right Lucien Esslinger and located Dambach la ville in pencil on the back. Very good condition (see descriptive photos) Dimensions of marquetry alone: 33x40 cm
