Oil on panel by Pierre Pruvost (1921-2008) representing a "Bouquet d'Antibes", circa 1960. Pierre Pruvost creates a very personal synthesis of the Cubists' demands for form and the Fauves' taste for the virulence of colors. A member of the Villa Abd el Tif in Algeria in the early 1950s, Pruvost never stopped traveling and painting very colorful and well-constructed landscapes and slices of life. Light wear from use on the edges.
