Several other editions appeared shortly after this one but the work linked to the comments published in the June 1782 issue of the Journal Hevétique clearly shows that this separate edition called "in large characters" is indeed the very first (F. Michaux "The Original Edition of the first part of the "Confessions" by J.-J. Rousseau" in . Revue d'Histoire Littéraire de la France , 35th Year, No. 2 (1928). pp. 250-253). This founding text of the autobiographical genre is in the style a marvel of the genre... A rare piece in good condition at a justified price.. For such a wonderful writer....
