"Charles X Ossuary"
From the top of his cross which measures 72 cm, the delicately sculpted Christ made entirely of monoxyl fruitwood watches over the tranquility of the ossuary. A glass niche in the "tabernacle" under the cross contains bones that must have been important to the sponsor of this ossuary. These relics are composed of several bones and bands of parchment. I decipher Dominicus (for a Dominican perhaps?) as well as a date 1827. Everything is sealed behind a window with no access. The whole is magnificent, note some traces of wear on the mahogany veneer on the upper side terrace, as well as a foot that was replaced in the past. The photos will speak better than my words.... Shh, meditation obliges.
