"The Holy Family In China 19th Century"
Rare testimony of the work of missionaries in China. At the end of the 19th century, the White Fathers, on a mission in the trading posts in China, put the children to work… They were responsible for making objects for the “church factory” in order to contribute to the costs of the orphanages. Rare testimony on silk: Christian paintings of the holy family in Asian style…. This in order to further touch the sensibilities there. Some stains due to time, these paintings are in their original frames. Here are two frames under glass that are not frequently encountered.
