11A very well executed oil painting on canvas. Signed lower left by Giuseppe Palanti. This is truly a superb example of Giuseppe Palanti's work. depicting a gentle lady. The painting has wonderful provenance as it has been in the same family since its creation and was an 80 year old Dirce Veratti painting circa 1920's Fully signed lower left and presented in very good condition. The canvas is not lined, torn, patched or repaired. Clean, very attractive, well framed and ready to hang. Presented in the original high quality giltwood frame. A good size measuring 29 inches in diameter. Frame 36 inches in diameter. Biography: Giuseppe Palanti (30 July 1881 – 23 April 1946) was an Italian painter, illustrator and urban planner, best known for his portraits, particularly of Mussolini and Pius XI. He collaborated for a long time with the Teatro della Scala in Milan, creating costumes, sets and advertising material for many opera productions. He also contributed greatly to the development of the seaside resort of Milano Marittima.
