Important sculpture by American artist Roz Stroll (born 1944 in Montreal) signed STROLL and dated 1982 Featuring a translucent structure in lucite opalescent yellow, orange, blue, green... forming a kinetic composition creating the effect of a changing and moving work for the viewer who moves around this work. Light is the force in the existence of Roz Stroll's sculptures and the variation in the quality of light in the work is even more extraordinary throughout the day, composed of triangular and diamond-shaped lines, it is the harmony of an infinite variety, it is the power of change both in the reflection of shapes and colors. Good general condition, dimensions: 1 m 22 high X 48 cm wide X 15 cm deep. Stroll was born in Montreal, Quebec, in 1944. She was one of the first Canadian minimalist artists to initiate sculpture in acrylic. Studied under Dr. Arthur Lismer, CC, LL.D., RCA, OSA (Canadian Group of Seven) in 1966-69 and graduated from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts School of Art and Design. All of her sculptures are original works of art, influenced by the California Light and Space art movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Initially, she worked strictly with transparent blocks of cast acrylic. Her exploration of the concave lens and her concern for optical finishing offered her endless possibilities. Her work was produced in Paris, France from 1969 to 1984 where she lived and exhibited internationally.
