Rare Mahogany Delivery Table Top From The 19th Century.
A rare and charming little piece of furniture:
a beautiful Louis XV style delivery table top.
Inspired by the very beautiful delivery tables of the 18th century, our model is very elegant and very aesthetic.
It rests on four Louis XV legs with shoulders covered with brass rushes.
As beautiful open as closed, it is composed of a top opening in the center by a sliding shutter including its original mirror and allowing to release a flap on each side revealing storage cellars hidden in the belt.
The entire piece of furniture is decorated with brass rushes inlaid in the mahogany, with a beautiful astragal all around the table emphasizing its butterfly shape.
The mahogany is slightly speckled and has a very beautiful color nuanced with lighter veins. Waxed varnish finish.
The lock works.

In the 18th century these delivery tables were often placed on their reception furniture but this one is sufficient in itself and can be very interesting and adapt to the current lifestyle.
