"Georges Pelletier, Large Enameled Ceramic Pocket Emptying Cup"
Magnificent large enameled ceramic bowl with polychrome decoration in shimmering tones of brown, brick and deep red, enhanced with crackled effect gilding and touches of white. It is signed on the back by the artist Georges Pelletier. Like each handcrafted piece, this work is unique. In perfect condition, it has a hanging system on the back so that it can be displayed on a wall. Georges Pelletier is a French ceramic artist, born in 1938 in Brussels and died very recently in February 2024. He opened his first studio in Paris in 1961, then settled permanently in Cannes from 1973. His works have acquired a worldwide reputation and are exhibited in dedicated galleries in New York, Shanghai, Ibiza, Knokke, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
