"Virgin And Child From The South Of France - XVIII"
Our round wooden statue that comes to us from the south has retained its elegant polychromy. More than the richness of the floral drapery where cornflowers (symbol of the Virgin) and poppies poetically intermingle, we will appreciate the strong presence of our Holy characters. Presence that we owe in part to the expressive faces that the sulphide eyes generally allow.
Dimensions of 81 cm high by 37 wide and 25 cm deep.
Presence of cracks and cracks, some old wormholes and missing parts including a finger on the Child.
