A delightful mid-19th century console in blackened pear wood, with complications inlaid with bone, representing as a central character a proud Musketeer surrounded by niche nets of the same material, foliage; all in elegance and refinement in the spirit of the French Renaissance influenced by Italy. At the base in medallion two elegant chimeses back to back in an interlacing motif à la Bérain. The two console arms which support the aerial presentation tray, moving with a beautiful whiplash, frame on one side and on the other the proud Cavalier, all finely inlaid with nets completing this little treasure. Two rear legs to hang this useful and pretty wall piece of furniture with strong decorative power in the alcove of a Cabinet of Curiosities; a piece of neat Parisian work with high decorative value and above all useful for presenting a beautiful object such as a statue for example... Healthy piece in good original condition... At a reasonable price because it is uncommon....
