Jacques Quinet (1918-1992) He began his career in the 1940s working for the furniture company L'Équipement de la Maison, where he designed modern furniture using materials such as steel, glass and leather. He then opened his own design studio in Paris in the 1950s, where he created furniture for prestigious clients such as the Louvre and the Maison de la Radio. His designs are characterized by clean lines, simple geometric shapes and the use of high quality materials. He also worked with skilled artisans to create unique, bespoke pieces of furniture. Jacques Quinet won several awards for his work, including the Grand Prix of the Milan Triennale in 1957 and the Gold Medal of the Society of Decorative Artists in 1966. Today, his creations are considered icons of French design from the 1950s and 1960s and are highly prized by collectors and design enthusiasts.
