Superb oil on panel representing hay in a summer landscape. It is in very good condition, but a little cleaning would revive the colors and restore all the light to the dirty panel. The work is resolutely pointillist. The author signed Louis Bougues and dated 1926. His full name is Louis De Bougues Montès. He was born in Masseube in the Gers in the 20th century. French. Painter of portraits and landscapes. He exhibited at the Salon de la Nationale in 1926 and 1927. The panel measures, alone, 60 cm x 38 cm, almost a 12 Marine. It is presented in its pretty molded natural wood frame of 71 cm x 49 cm.
