20th century Mughal miniature of a court of turbaned men surrounding a dignitary (Mahomet?) who stands above the fray in a colonnaded alcove. A lively discussion appears to be taking place between the guests. It is interesting that the dignitary's face is erased (intentionally?) which could represent Mahomet. Tastefully framed.
