Jean Giraud, known under the pseudonyms Moebius and Gir, is a legendary comic book author and artist. Born on May 8, 1938 in Nogent-sur-Marne, he is famous for his contributions to science fiction and western comics. Under the name Gir, he co-created the western series “Blueberry” with screenwriter Jean-Michel Charlier. As Moebius, he is recognized for science fiction works such as “Arzach”, “Le Garage intérieure”, “L'Incal” (in collaboration with Alejandro Jodorowsky), and "Le Monde d'Edena". Moebius also contributed to the graphic design of films such as “Alien” and "Tron". His influence extends far beyond European comics, achieving international recognition, notably in the United States and Japan.
