Neo-gothic Candlestick, Bronze And Brass, 19th Century.

Neo-Gothic style candlestick, in finely chiseled bronze and gilded brass. The upper part decorated with ivy friezes (acanthus?), ball of the shaft chiseled with leaves, tripod base richly decorated with an intertwining of fantastic animals and acanthus leaves seeming to come straight out of the Book of Kells. Beautiful patina that we have deliberately left. 19th century period. Please note: this candlestick is in very good general condition. The cleaning could be refined.
