"Terrestrial Globe XIX In Relief"
This type of globe in relief, without being extremely rare, is nevertheless uncommon. The signature of this copy, Vivien de Saint Martin, is appreciated by amateurs for its fine and careful cartography. The conjunction of the two: name of the manufacturer and presence of reliefs is interesting. The globe offered here, dates from 1884, is not in new condition. It presents the usual wear of varnish and discoloration. Note a crack at the equator and some retouching of the color, these few accidents are not very visible; the general appearance remains good with frank colors and an intact decorative side, see the photos. Mounted by a half-meridian in brass. Total height: approximately 57 cm.
