Pride Of The Rooster, Caricature
Rooster dressed as a human drawn in pen. The drawing bears the following inscription "a regular at the combat barrier, a rooster of the most beautiful species, tall in legs and arching as he walks, like a rooster who does not want to lose any of the advantages of his size" The drawing is framed in a pitch pine frame from the first half of the 19th century and measures in its absence 21.8x17.1 cm. The sheet has some pitting visible in the photographs.
