Shakyamuni Buddha subduing Mara, seated in virasana on a lotus decorated with a row of stylized stamens, above a hexagonal base. Hands in bhumisparsa and dhyana mudra. The ushnisha is crowned by wide tight curls and ends with a lotus bud, thus depicting the style of the Lan Na (Chiang Saen) kingdom. Kingdom of Siam, 18th/19th century.
